Root Cause of Disease
Disease caused by traumas like falls, excessive pressure, unnecessary fighting, car accidents or sports injuries. But some medical conditions and repetitive forces (like running) can increase your risk for experiencing certain types of fractures. If you break a bone, you might need surgery to repair it.
Symptoms
Symptoms of a bone fracture can vary wildly depending on the affected region and severity. The signs and symptoms of a fracture vary according to which bone is affected, the patient’s age and general health, as well as the severity of the injury. However, they often include some of the following:
- Pain
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Discolored skin around the affected area
- Angulation – the affected area may be bent at an unusual angle
- The patient is unable to put weight on the injured area
- The patient cannot move the affected area
- The affected bone or joint may have a grating sensation
- If it is an open fracture, there may be bleeding
- A visibly out-of-place or misshapen limb or joint
- Numbness and tingling
- Broken skin with bone protruding
- Limited mobility or inability to move a limb or put weight on the leg
Causes
- Most fractures are caused by a bad fall or automobile accident. Healthy bones are extremely tough and resilient and can withstand surprisingly powerful impacts.
- As people age, two factors make their risk of fractures greater: Weaker bones and a greater risk of falling.
- Children, who tend to have more physically active lifestyles than adults, are also prone to fractures. The other reasons are rash driving, unnecessary fighting, sudden jerks & falls etc.
- People with underlying illnesses (osteoporosis /osteomyelitis) and conditions (obesity) that may weaken their bones have a higher risk of fractures. Examples include osteoporosis, infection, or a tumor. This type of fracture is known as a pathological fracture.
- Stress fractures, which result from repeated stresses and strains, commonly found among professional sports people, are also common causes of fractures.
Home Remedies to treat Bone Fracture
Remedy – 1: Turmeric Milk
Materials: Turmeric, Milk, Allspice, Honey, Vanilla

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties. Turmeric is very useful in relieving pain during fractures. It can be consumed in many ways. You can apply turmeric milk or turmeric onion paste in the fractured area for 1-2 days.
Procedure:
- Whisk together turmeric, cardamom, black pepper, ginger, cloves, and allspice in a small bowl; set aside.
- Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until heated through, 3 to 4 minutes; stir honey and vanilla into milk until completely dissolved.
- Whisk 1 teaspoon turmeric mixture into milk mixture; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until flavors blend, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Pour mixture through a strainer.
Remedy – 2: Hadjod juice/Powder
Materials: Hadjod

Hadjod can reduce swelling, relieve pain, treat allied illnesses associated with fractures, and aid in healing fractures. The inclusion of Beta-sitosterol and luteolin flavonoids in hadjod is responsible for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Recommended usage of hadjod
- Hadjod Juice – 10-20 ml twice a day.
- Hadjod Powder – 2.5 g twice a day.
HOW TO USE HADJOD?
1. Hadjod Powder
- Take 2.5 g (or as directed by a physician) of Hadjod powder twice a day.
- Swallow it with milk or water after meals for quick healing of fractures.
2. Hadjod Juice
- Take 10-20 ml (or as directed by a physician) of Hadjod juice.
- Drink it with cow’s ghee or a cup of milk after meals for quick healing of fractures.

Other Remedies
Urad Dal
Grind urad dal pulse in sunlight and make a paste. Tie a bandage on the broken bone. By doing this treatment, your broken bone will connect quickly.
Black Pepper
Mix the juice of black pepper and Kag Ganga Herb and drink 3-4 times a day. Consuming this will add to your broken bone in a few days.
Mulethi
Make a paste of Mulethi. After this, tie a bandage by applying it on the broken bone. This will add your bone quickly.
Sheep Milk
This is considered to be the most effective remedy. Take lamb milk from somewhere and massage it at the place where the bone is broken. Will benefit soon, but keep in mind this is a very smelly treatment.
Pineapple
Pineapple is a high source of enzyme called bromelin which helps in reducing inflammation and infection during bone fracture. For this, consume pineapple daily. Eat only fresh pineapple, do not consume its juice.
Calcium-rich foods
Everyone knows that calcium helps in building blocks of bones. This mineral is beneficial for bone health. Whenever there is a fracture in the bone, try increasing the intake of calcium rich foods. Dairy products, green vegetables are sources of calcium.
Apply ice
Wrap 2-3 ice cumin in a clean cloth. To remove the pain, apply this cloth on the affected area. It also reduces inflammation with pain. Do this process 3-4 times a day. Keep in mind that do not apply ice directly to the affected area, this may cause irritation.
Preventions
- Get enough calcium and vitamin D and eat a well-balanced diet.
- Engage in regular exercise.
- Eat foods that are good for bone health, such as fruits and vegetables.
- Avoid smoking and limit alcohol to 2-3 drinks per day.
Don’t:
- Wear shoes with slippery soles.
- Slouch when standing, walking, or sitting at a desk.
- Engage in sports or activities that require twisting the spine or bending forward from the waist, such as conventional sit-ups, toe touches, or swinging a golf club.
Do:
- Pay attention to proper posture.
- Make sure to use a handrail when climbing stairs.
- Bend from the hips and knees and never from the waist, especially when lifting.
