But if you have a duodenal ulcer, eating will actually make your pain worse unless you eat a high-fiber diet. Fiber slows down the digestive process. Duodenal pain is alleviated when food travels more slowly through the stomach, allowing more time for stomach acid to be neutralized.

Ginger has gastro protective effects. It can be used in other stomach and digestive conditions, such as bloating, constipation and gastritis. It can help with gastric ulcers caused by H. pylori bacteria. Eating ginger may also prevent ulcers caused by medication.
