Southern tick-associated rash illness, Erythema migrans or EM.

Root Cause of Disease

Erythema migrans is a ring-shaped skin lesion, centered on the bite, which expands outwards. It usually appears within two weeks after a bite from an infected tick.

Symptoms

Because erythema migrans is an early symptom of Lyme disease, you may also have additional symptoms of Lyme disease, including:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Body aches
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Swollen Lymph nodes.
  • Neck stiffness

Causes

Erythema migrans is not a reaction to a tick bite, but rather an outward sign of an actual Lyme disease infection in your skin. When the rash first appears, Lyme disease has likely just started to spread through your body but is still more localized. Erythema migrans is only caused by Lyme disease. A similar-looking circular rash is caused by a bite from a lone star tick, which is different from the tick that causes Lyme disease. But this rash will never be in the shape of a bullā€™s-eye.

Black walnut is an herbal supplement proven through tests to eliminate bacteria associated with Lyme disease and coinfections. Specifically, Borrelia burgdorferi, Bartonella, and babesiosis. Black walnut herbal supplements are typically made from husks, hulls, bark, and leaves with anti-inflammatory properties. It also acts as an antifungal, anti-parasitic, and antimicrobial.

Procedure:

Start by boiling them for approximately 3 minutes to soften them slightly, drain them and then lay them out on a baking tray and roast in a single layer in a 350-degree oven for approximately 15 minutes. Give them a stir midway through.
  • Once roasted, allow the walnuts to cool before adding them to a food processor and pulsing to create walnut pieces, donā€™t pulse them too fine, you want them to still be in pieces and not dust.
  • Finally, add your walnut pieces to your jar or bottle and combine with your oil of choice so that the flavours can infuse.
  • After a few days, the oil will have absorbed all of the beautiful nutty flavours from the walnuts and is ready.
