Root Cause of Disease
- DNA mutation.
Thyroid cancer happens when cells in the thyroid develop changes in their DNA. A cell’s DNA contains the instructions that tell the cell what to do. The changes, which doctors call mutations, tell the cells to grow and multiply rapidly. The cells go on living when healthy cells would naturally die.
Symptoms
- A lump (nodule) that can be felt through the skin on your neck.
- A feeling that close-fitting shirt collars are becoming too tight.
- Changes to your voice, including increasing hoarseness.
- Difficulty swallowing.
- Swollen lymph nodes in your neck.
- Pain in your neck and throat.
Causes
Thyroid cancer happens when there’s a change to the DNA inside thyroid cells which causes them to grow uncontrollably and produce a lump. It’s not usually clear what causes this change, but there are a number of things that can increase your risk.
These include:
- Other thyroid conditions, such as an inflamed thyroid (thyroiditis) or goiter but not an overactive thyroid or underactive thyroid.
- A family history of thyroid cancer your risk is higher if a close relative has had thyroid cancer
- Radiation exposure in childhood such as radiotherapy.
- Obesity.
- a bowel condition called familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP)
- acromegaly – a rare condition where the body produces too much growth hormone.
Home Remedies to treat Thyroid cancer
Remedy – 1: Ashwagandha
Materials : Ashwagandha powder, Water, Lemon, Honey

Ashwagandha is not only used in Ayurveda, but has also been adopted by homeopathy as conventional medicine to make extracts. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, which means it can adapt to the requirements of the body and then make the changes to provide support to the necessary areas. It is also very good at preventing the growth of cancer cells.
Procedure:
Boil water in a saucepan. Add the ashwagandha powder to it, or you can use a couple of ashwagandha roots. Close the lid and let it boil for 10-15 minutes.

Procedure:
Add the water, turmeric, lemon juice, honey, to a small pot, then whisk together. Heat on high just until the tea starts to boil. Turn the heat down to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Let the tea cool for a minute or two. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy.

Preventions
Doctors aren’t sure what causes the gene changes that lead to most thyroid cancers, so there’s no way to prevent thyroid cancer in people who have an average risk of the disease.
Prevention for people with a high risk
Adults and children with an inherited gene that increases the risk of medullary thyroid cancer may consider thyroid surgery to prevent cancer (prophylactic thyroidectomy). Discuss your options with a genetic counselor who can explain your risk of thyroid cancer and your treatment options.
Prevention for people near nuclear power plants
A medication that blocks the effects of radiation on the thyroid is sometimes provided to people living near nuclear power plants in the United States. The medication (potassium iodide) could be used in the unlikely event of a nuclear reactor accident. If you live within 10 miles of a nuclear power plant and are concerned about safety precautions, contact your state or local emergency management department for more information.
